The Galion City Schools Transportation Department is excited to offer a School Bus Basics Course to help prepare our riders with information they need to be successful during the school year. So many questions surround why it takes so long for the bus to stop and let kids on or off and it seems that students often ask us, "Why do I have to do that?".
“With all the questions and safety concerns surrounding the busing industry, we have created a SCHOOL BUS BASICS Course! This is the perfect opportunity for all ages K-12, new riders, and kids that have ridden the bus their whole Tiger career to come and learn the school bus basics. There is always something new to learn!”, said DiAnna Danner, Supervisor of Transportation.
This event immediately follows the Primary Boot Camp so those participants can just walk over to the Intermediate building. On completion of the course, participants will be given a bracelet to wear, showing they have mastered the course. They can wear it on the first day of school to show they are "Ready Riders!" Parents are encouraged to stay and participate with their children as well! The School Bus Basics Course is a great way for all of us to work together to become a great Tiger Team! This course will be very interactive and full of information as well as a great way to meet and talk to the drivers!
