Our 3rd-graders have been hard at work in our Makerspace - straw construction, sun catchers, and microscopes were their recent endeavors ☀️🔬

Our 3rd-grade student, Avery Daniels, received the Empathetic award for her incredible kindness 💙🐾🧡 Read her award statement from her teachers, Miss Keller and Miss Seng! ⬇️
To be empathetic is to have the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. Avery Daniels is the perfect example of empathy. Avery is kind, caring, and loving to not only her classmates but her teachers. Avery is the first person to jump into a situation when a student is feeling upset or sad. She offers distractions or offers to be their friend. Avery wears her heart on her sleeve and cares deeply about others and their feelings. Putting yourself in other people's shoes isn’t something that is easy but for Avery, it comes naturally. She is a great example of what it means to be empathetic.
Good Afternoon,

Principal Crosswhite and Principal Crawford led our school Friday learning what administrators do on a Friday, like making sure students get their Tiger Ticket Store items and filling up our tube of tickets! 🎟️
Today, our houses met to complete a challenge to lock arms with a partner, sitting all the way down, and all the way back up 😳 Our black team, Altrusimo (Reinhart/Williams and Buzza), took it on and had just as many laughs as they did falls 🖤
Yesterday, students earned a cookie decorating party if they had no minors or majors for the whole month of December 🎉🍪 a well deserved sweet treat!
10/10 do not recommend exploding snowman, unless you want lots of fun like these ROAR kiddos 🤪
Don’t miss out on Superintendent Dr. Hartmann’s "Coffee Chat" tomorrow, January 10, 5:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at K&B Laundromat. Playing a key part of our Listen and Learn Initiative, we invite our community members to discuss all things Galion City Schools over coffee. See you there! ☕
We are very thankful for Officer Thomas. Happy Student Resource Officer Day!
Tangrams and our genius hour. A perfect combination! 🧩

- Parents (and students) can reach teachers, coaches and other staff members via direct messages.
- It is built into the Galion City School District mobile app.
- Parents and students can receive class announcements.
Register for Rooms via the Galion City Schools mobile app (iOS and Android).
We didn't factor in our love for math multiplying this year 😉
Students in Mr. Rinehart's 4th-grade math class are finding factors and multiples of numbers to help understand how to work with fractions!

That's Principal Bostic and Gilliam to you! 💙🧡
Both young ladies earned 100 tickets for good behavior and redeemed it to hang out with Mrs. Patterson for the afternoon. They helped with our ticket store and all the hustle and bustle that comes with administration on a Friday at an elementary school 🤪
