October is Dyslexia Awareness Month and today October 8th is International Dyslexia Day.
In keeping in line with Ohio law, Galion teachers have been receiving specialized training to better support students with dyslexia. This is a crucial step in ensuring every child gets the help they need to succeed.
There are many myths surrounding dyslexia, like the idea that it’s tied to vision problems and reversing letters. In reality, dyslexia is a common learning difference that affects the way the brain processes language. Throughout the remainder of the month, we will share more information about dyslexia to help increase awareness and help separate myths from facts.
