At Galion City Schools, we believe strong relationships are the foundation of our schools. As part of our restorative practices, we emphasize proactive community building. Proactive community building looks like morning circles, team-building activities, celebrating diversity, and regular check-ins. Community building matters because it creates a sense of belonging for every student and builds trust between students and staff.

As we head into our second semester, we will continue to shine the spotlight on the qualities we value within our Tigers. Our Portrait of a Tiger trait for the month of January is Empathy. Empathy requires being a caring, kind and compassionate person. Our students seek to understand and recognize others’ points of view, supporting even those with whom they may not agree.
